History
Boston Galway GAA are part of the Boston GAA scene — one of the oldest and most vibrant GAA communities outside of Ireland. The club was founded to serve the Galway diaspora in Boston, providing a home for emigrants from Connacht who wanted to maintain their connection to Gaelic games, Irish culture, and the county they left behind.
The club competes in Gaelic football and hurling competitions organised by the Boston GAA board, which is affiliated with the North American County Board (NACB). Boston has a long and proud GAA tradition, and clubs like Boston Galway have been at the heart of that community for decades — providing not just sport, but a social and cultural anchor for the Irish community in Massachusetts.
