History
Founded in 1922 in the city of Zárate, located on the Paraná river delta north of Buenos Aires, Defensores Unidos have been a fixture of Argentine football for over a century. The club — known universally as CADU, from their full name Club Atlético Defensores Unidos — have competed across various levels of the Argentine football pyramid and are the most prominent club in the Zárate area.
CADU are known for their passionate local fanbase and their strong community identity in a city that takes enormous pride in its football club.
