Drogheda United

Founded in 1919, Drogheda United have been a consistent presence in the League of Ireland for over a century. Their finest hour came in 2007 when they won the League of Ireland Premier Division title under manager Paul Doolin — the club's first and only league championship — sparking enormous celebrations in the town of Drogheda.

The club has also enjoyed success in the FAI Cup, winning it in 2005 and again in 2024, and has been a regular competitor in European football, representing Ireland in UEFA competitions on multiple occasions. Drogheda United are known for their strong community ties and their passionate local fanbase, and the club continues to develop young talent from the Louth and Meath area.

Claret and blue — the Drogs colours worn with Louth pride. Drogheda United's home kit is bold and distinctive, built around a claret and blue shirt that carries the passion of a club deeply rooted in its community, and which the club famously shares with Turkish side Trabzonspor. Clean, proud, and unmistakably Drogheda.

Their kits carry the identity of a club that has always competed with heart and determination, and the claret and blue of the Drogs is worn with real pride by a fanbase that celebrated one of the League of Ireland's most memorable title wins in 2007.
