History
Founded in 1908 in the Rotterdam working-class district of Feyenoord, the club has always embodied the gritty, no-nonsense spirit of their city. They won the European Cup in 1970 and the UEFA Cup in 1974 and 2002, establishing themselves as genuine European giants.
Their fierce rivalry with Ajax — known as De Klassieker — is the most intense in Dutch football, dividing the Netherlands between Amsterdam and Rotterdam. De Kuip, their legendary stadium opened in 1937, is one of European football's most atmospheric and historic grounds.
