Inter Miami CF
Inter Miami CF are the most talked-about club in American sports. Co-owned by David Beckham, the arrival of Lionel Messi in 2023 turned the MLS side into a global phenomenon overnight — selling out stadiums across the continent and introducing millions of new fans to American soccer.
History
Inter Miami CF were founded in 2018 as part of David Beckham's long-held ambition to bring an MLS franchise to Miami. They began competing in MLS in 2020 and spent their early years building both on and off the pitch in one of America's most vibrant cities.
Everything changed in July 2023 when Lionel Messi — arguably the greatest footballer of all time — signed for the club. Within weeks, Inter Miami went from MLS outfit to global brand. Messi's Leagues Cup heroics, including a stunning free kick on debut, set the tone for a new era in American football history. In April 2026 the club left Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale for its new home, Nu Stadium at Miami Freedom Park.
Kit History & Colours
Inter Miami wear a distinctive pink and black — one of the most eye-catching kits in world football. The pink home shirt, inspired by the flamingos and sunsets of South Florida, immediately made Inter Miami one of the most visually distinctive clubs in the game. The heron crest reflects the club's Miami identity and natural surroundings.
