Las Vegas Lights FC
Las Vegas Lights FC brings the colour and neon identity of its home city to American professional football. The club began playing in 2018, built its home in Downtown Las Vegas and produced its breakthrough season in 2024 by reaching the USL Championship Western Conference Final.
Professional Football in Downtown Las Vegas
Las Vegas Lights FC was announced in 2017 and entered the United Soccer League for the 2018 season. The name, badge and visual identity were designed to feel unmistakably Las Vegas, drawing inspiration from the city’s neon signs and entertainment culture.
The club made Cashman Field its home from the beginning. Its first match at the venue was a pre-season fixture against Major League Soccer side Montreal Impact in February 2018.
The 2024 Play-off Run
Las Vegas qualified for the USL Championship Play-offs for the first time in 2024 and secured the right to host its opening match. The Lights defeated Sacramento Republic before travelling to face top-seeded New Mexico United in the Western Conference Semifinal.
Khori Bennett scored in the 86th minute to earn a 1–0 victory in New Mexico and send Las Vegas to its first Western Conference Final. Colorado Springs Switchbacks ended the run with another 1–0 result, but the campaign established a new benchmark for the club.
A Farewell to Cashman Field
Cashman Field has been part of the Lights’ identity since their inaugural season. The Downtown Las Vegas venue was adapted from baseball to football and placed the club close to Fremont Street and the Neon Museum.
The club announced that 2026 would be its final season at Cashman Field because its lease expires after the venue’s sale. Las Vegas Lights FC has said it will remain in Las Vegas, but its home ground from 2027 had not been confirmed when this FanFile was checked.

Neon Colours for Las Vegas
Blue, yellow and pink are the official Las Vegas Lights colours. They were taken from the City of Las Vegas logo, while the badge shape and neon-style lettering were inspired by the famous signs found around the city.
The club’s shirts have embraced bold patterns and bright combinations that suit its Las Vegas identity. This FanFile covers the team rather than one specific jersey, so check the crest, manufacturer label, sponsor and product code on your shirt to identify its season and edition.
