History
Mexico have qualified for every World Cup since 1994 and famously reached the Round of 16 in seven consecutive tournaments — a streak known as the Quinto Partido curse, as they never progressed past that stage. Their best World Cup performances came as hosts in 1970 and 1986, reaching the quarter-finals on both occasions.
Mexico are the dominant force in CONCACAF, winning 12 Gold Cup titles and consistently producing talented players who go on to star in Europe's top leagues.
