Munster Rugby are more than a club — they are a cultural institution. From the famous victory over the All Blacks to back-to-back Heineken Cup wins, Munster embody the heart and soul of Irish rugby like no other province.

History

Munster Rugby was founded in 1879 and represents the southern province of Ireland. They became a global rugby phenomenon through their Heineken Cup campaigns in the late 1990s and 2000s, winning the title in 2006 and 2008.

Thomond Park in Limerick is regarded as one of the most intimidating grounds in world rugby. In 1978, Munster famously defeated the All Blacks 12–0 — a result that has become the stuff of legend and the subject of books, documentaries and plays.

Kit History & Colours

Munster's iconic red jersey is one of the most recognisable shirts in rugby union. The deep red has been worn for over a century and carries enormous emotional weight for supporters across Munster and the Irish diaspora worldwide.

Simple, bold and powerful — the Munster red jersey needs no embellishment. It is one of sport's great shirts.
