New York's original MLS club. The New York Red Bulls are one of Major League Soccer's founding members and most storied franchises, with a passionate supporter culture, a world-class stadium, and a history of attracting global stars to the Big Apple. Red Bull Arena is one of the finest football venues in North America.
Founded in 1994 as one of MLS's ten charter clubs, the New York Red Bulls — originally known as the MetroStars — have been a constant presence in American soccer since the league's inception. Red Bull GmbH purchased the club in 2006, rebranding them and building Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey — one of the first soccer-specific stadiums in the United States.
The Red Bulls have won four MLS Supporters' Shields — awarded to the team with the best regular season record — and have attracted some of the world's biggest names to New York, including Thierry Henry, Tim Cahill, and Rafa Márquez. Their high-pressing, energetic style of play under various coaches has made them one of MLS's most consistently competitive sides.
Red, white, and black — the Red Bulls colours worn with New York attitude. The club's home kit is bold and distinctive, built around a striking red and white design that reflects the Red Bull brand identity while carrying the energy of New York City. One of MLS's most recognisable kits.
