History
Founded in 1882, Racing Club de France is one of the oldest sports clubs in France. The rugby section — now known as Racing 92 — has been transformed in the modern era under the ownership of Jacky Lorenzetti, who took over in 2006 and invested heavily in players, facilities, and infrastructure. The club moved to the Paris La Défense Arena, giving them one of the most spectacular venues in European rugby.
Racing 92 won their first Top 14 title in 2016 and reached the European Champions Cup final in the same year, losing to Saracens. They have consistently been one of France's top clubs and attracted world-class players including Dan Carter, Simon Zebo, and Finn Russell. Their 2024 Top 14 title confirmed their status as one of European rugby's elite clubs.
