Santos Laguna
Club Santos Laguna is a Mexican professional football club representing the La Comarca Lagunera region, straddling Durango and Coahuila states. Six-time Liga MX champions and one of Mexico's most decorated clubs.
History
Santos Laguna was founded in 1983 and reached Mexico's top division after buying the Ángeles de Puebla club. The club debuted in the top flight in the 1988–89 tournament and have since become one of the country's most successful sides.
They have won six Liga MX titles: Invierno 1996, Verano 2001, Clausura 2008, Clausura 2012, Clausura 2015, and Clausura 2018. The club also won the Copa MX in Apertura 2014.
Kit History & Colours
Santos Laguna's home colours are green and white. When founded in 1983, the crest was white with green stripes similar to Santos FC of Brazil. In 1991, Grupo Modelo bought the club and redesigned the badge. Stars have been added after each title — six stars now feature on the badge following their 2018 championship.
