History
Founded in 1890, Sevilla are one of Spain's oldest clubs. While Real Madrid and Barcelona have dominated La Liga, Sevilla carved out their own legacy in European football — winning the UEFA Cup or Europa League an extraordinary seven times, including five times between 2006 and 2023.
Their intense local rivalry with Real Betis — El Gran Derbi — is one of the most passionate derbies in world football. The Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán stadium, opened in 1958, remains one of Spain's most atmospheric grounds.
