History
Founded in 1863, Stoke City are one of the oldest professional football clubs in the world. They were a founding member of the Football League in 1888. The club enjoyed their greatest modern era under Tony Pulis and then Mark Hughes, spending ten consecutive seasons in the Premier League from 2008 to 2018.
Their move to the bet365 Stadium in 1997 modernised the club, replacing the famous Victoria Ground. Stoke's passionate fanbase and the intimidating atmosphere at their ground have always been central to their identity.
Kit History & Colours
Stoke City are famous for their red and white striped home kit — one of the most traditional looks in English football. The bold vertical stripes have been worn for over a century, making Stoke instantly recognisable on the pitch.
