History
Founded in 2012, Thimphu City FC emerged as a competitive force in Bhutanese football during a period when the domestic game was becoming more structured and visible. The club quickly established itself as one of the stronger sides in the capital.
Since then, Thimphu City have developed a reputation for consistency and ambition, regularly competing near the top end of the Bhutan Premier League. Their presence has helped modernise the football scene in Bhutan and add more visibility to the league.
